How does this ritual help?

Visualisation is a widely used technique to help with achieving personal goals.  By using the conscious brain to actively imagine an outcome we can influence our subconscious brain to make subtle behavioural adjustments that help to make dreams into realities.
To be effective, this technique needs to used consistently, our DreamKeeper necklace is designed to help you to do just this. Wearing it as a touchstone or talisman, it becomes a daily reminder to focus on your dreams.

Inside DreamKeeper is a small piece of rolled up paper for you to write down or draw your dream. If you write it, write it in the present tense, for example ‘I am walking on the wing of a plane’ or ‘It's the first day of my new job and I feel great’.  Roll up the paper and place it back inside DreamKeeper for safe keeping.

mosami daydream ritual - whatever your dream begin it, boldness has genius power and magic in it. Goethe.

Perhaps you already know the thing that you most wish for, perhaps you don’t.  If you need to decide, take some time to indulge in delicious flights of fancy.  Play with as many ideas as come to mind, they may be serious ideas they may be frivolous ideas, all that matters is that the dream you choose is something that is special to you and that with a little luck and some focused effort, could be within reach.

Mosami Daydream ritual. Create your ritual.

Find your quiet place, sit comfortably. Hold DreamKeeper in the palm of your hand.  Close your eyes.   Take six long, slow deep breaths (roughly 20 secs per in/out cycle) whilst bringing your attention to the feel of the dream in your hand.  Be aware of your dream tucked safely inside your DreamKeeper.

Continuing with slow relaxed breathing, begin to picture yourself achieving your dream.  Imagine you are there, doing the very thing you dream of.  Carefully create every last detail in your mind, create it in technicolour.  What are you wearing? How do you feel? Are you inside or outside, what’s the weather?  Are you eating or drinking something?  Perhaps with friends and family?  And how do you feel?  Push your imagination to work hard and create the feelings, maybe you are whooping and punching the air – imagine it (or actually do it if you want to!).  Smells and sounds are important too, in fact if there’s a piece of music that relates to your dream, try playing it whilst you are doing this ritual – music has an incredible power to stir emotions and imagination.

Sit with your dreaming for a while and really enjoy it, don't be afraid to let your imagination run away with you, it’s a practice that’s genuinely good for you, free of charge and entirely your design.  With a little practice you can star in your very own fantasy movie that has exactly the ending you choose.

When you’ve run out of dream power, still with your eyes closed bring your part of your attention back to DreamKeeper in your hand.  Now imagine placing the amazing dream you’ve just created safely inside.  Perhaps the dream flows from your head down your arm and through your fingertips into the DreamKeeper or alternatively you might want to imagine sending it ‘telepathically’.  It really doesn’t matter how you do this – the point is that when you touch your DreamKeeper in future you can imagine it contains your dream in full technicolour – which will help you to readily bring the details back to mind whenever you need to.  It’s a memory recall technique a little bit like seeing the cover of a book helps you to remember what’s inside.

Once your dream is safely ‘stored’ inside DreamKeeper remember to tune in to it regularly, wearing it will help to do this and just a touch or a twiddle can help you to touch your dream for a few moments.  Take time out regularly to spend 15 minutes re-running your dream movie and feel free to keep adding small details.  Enjoy playing with this ritual – it’s a great excuse to daydream!

This practice is lots of fun so really enjoy it, daydreaming about something that makes you feel great is a wise use of time and the practice alone can leave you feeling optimistic and energised.  By focusing regularly on your dreams you are a big step towards fulfilling them, so it’s well worth dedicating a little time each week.

Dreams do come true but there’s no easy route  - as well as a clear and inspiring vision you’ll need to be willing to take the steps that lead to the dream, but the point about regularly dreaming your dream is that is helps to motivate and energise.  Your subconscious will pay attention to your conscious dreams and begin work in the background to move you subtly in the right direction, drawing your attention to useful things you may not have otherwise noticed or remembering things you may have previously dismissed.
